Our Story
Rising together, by grace
On the Rise Bread Co. started the way most good things do slowly, and at the kitchen counter. A jar of starter on the windowsill, a family in Anna, Texas, and a prayer that our little home kitchen could be used to serve the people around us.
Every loaf we bake is naturally leavened. That means no commercial yeast, no shortcuts, and no rushing the process. Our dough ferments overnight, which makes the bread gentler on your stomach, deeper in flavor, and honestly, just better. Time is the ingredient you can’t buy.
We named the bakery “On the Rise” because it’s a picture of what God’s been doing in our own lives: quiet work, unseen for a while, and then something warm and whole coming out of the oven. We bake as an act of worship, and we hand off every order with thanksgiving.
We are a Texas cottage food operation, which means everything is baked in our home kitchen and sold directly to you at the farmers market, on your porch, or straight from our door. Thank you for supporting a small family bakery.
“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry.”John 6:35
What we believe about bread
Simple ingredients, real fermentation, and enough patience to let it happen. Flour, water, salt, starter; that’s it.
How we serve neighbors
Local delivery around Anna and weekly farmers market tables. A portion of every market weekend goes to our church’s local food ministry.
