Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the On the Rise Bread Co. website, products, and services. By placing an order, browsing our site, or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

Products and Ordering

On the Rise Bread Co. is a Texas cottage food operation. We sell homemade baked goods including artisan sourdough bread, cinnamon rolls, sandwich bread, tortillas, English muffins, and related items. All products are baked in small batches and are subject to availability.

Orders are placed through our website as pre-orders. Availability, pickup times, delivery days, and market locations are listed on our site and may change based on production capacity, weather, market schedules, and other factors. We reserve the right to limit quantities or refuse orders when necessary.

Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed on our menu and are subject to change. Prices do not include taxes or delivery fees unless otherwise stated. Payment is processed at checkout through Square, and you must complete payment before your order is confirmed.

By submitting payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method and agree to pay all charges associated with your order. If a payment is not completed or is declined, we reserve the right to cancel the order.

Cottage Food Disclaimer

On the Rise Bread Co. operates under the Texas cottage food law. Products produced in a cottage food operation are not inspected by the Texas Department of State Health Services or any local health department. By purchasing our products, you acknowledge this and accept that the products are made in a home kitchen.

This product was produced in a home kitchen not subject to public health inspection that may also process common food allergens.

Delivery and Pickup

We offer local delivery within our specified delivery area and pickup at designated farmers market locations. Delivery fees and availability, if applicable, are shown at checkout. Customers must be available to receive deliveries at the agreed time or pick up orders at the scheduled market location and time.

If you are unable to receive a delivery or pick up your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Orders not picked up at the scheduled market time may be donated or discarded and are not eligible for a refund.

Cancellations and Refunds

Because our products are made fresh and in small batches, cancellations and changes must be requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup or delivery date. If you have an account, you can cancel or edit an unpaid order yourself from the My Orders page up until that 24-hour cutoff. Inside the 24-hour window, or once an order has been paid for, online cancellation is no longer available — contact us at hello@ontherisebreadco.com and we will help. Refunds on paid orders are issued at our discretion and may be provided as a refund to the original payment method or as store credit.

We take pride in the quality of our baked goods. If there is a problem with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of pickup or delivery with details and, if possible, a photo. We will work with you to make it right.

Allergies and Food Safety

Our products are baked in a home kitchen that processes wheat, dairy, eggs, and other common allergens. While we take care to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free of allergens. If you have food allergies or sensitivities, please contact us before ordering.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, On the Rise Bread Co. and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our products or services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the order giving rise to the claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the website and services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
